Easton is a small rural community in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Until 1845 when it was incorporated, the town used to be part of Weston. The area developed rather slowly because of the rough landforms along the Aspetuck River; this made farming difficult and slowed the transportation, there was no railroad built in Easton. The only type of industry that existed in this small town is a button factory. Today, the Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut, the biggest water supplier in the area, owns half the property in town.

This small town has only three named neighborhoods: Easton Center, Aspetuck and Plattsville. Close to the “Gold Coast” of Connecticut and New York City, the town of Easton offers an amazing and unique rural lifestyle.
