Byram Shore Area

Located right next to Rye, NY, Byram Shore offers some of the most beautiful views of the Byram River and Long Island Sound, with Portchester Harbor to the West, several islands and Belle Haven to the East.

Most homes have private beaches and deep water docks, but Byram Shore residents also have access to Hawthorne Beach, a large sandy beach where you can enjoy sunbathing, swimming in clean water and fishing. Also, at the other end of Byram Shore coastline, close to Belle Haven, there's Byram Waterfront Park boasting a great sandy beach, a large lap pool and a small kiddie pool, splash pad, sports fields, a marina and boat club. Byram Park is open exclusively to Greenwich residents.

From Byram Shore you can easily reach Shell Island as well as Calf Island by boat or kayak, and there are two other islands a bit further away that you can reach by ferry: Great Captain and Island Beach. All these islands boast sandy beaches and some of them also offer great amenities.

Belle Haven Area

Belle Haven is a private, gated community, which offers stunning views of the Long Island Sound and the offshore islands. The waterfront homes in Belle Haven boast beautiful architecture and some of the largest land lots in Greenwich. Many waterfront estates have private beaches and deep water docks.

There’s a nice sandy beach at the Belle Haven Club, where you can also enjoy the only clay tennis court around, an ocean front pool and many beach facilities. The Club has a nice marina and there’s also Greenwich Boat & Yacht Club on the Grass Island, as well as several small marinas and boat clubs in the nearby neighborhood across the Greenwich Harbor.

Indian Harbor Area

Another gated community just south of Downtown Greenwich, Indian Harbor boasts some of the most coveted direct waterfront condos and also great single family homes with stunning views of Greenwich Harbor, Smith Cove or Indian Harbor.

Many homes have private docks and some condo complexes offer their own slips for rent. There are also two great marinas offering marine services, boat club and sailing school: Greenwich Yacht Charters and Indian Harbor Yacht Club.

Cos Cob Area

Set between the beautiful Mianus River and Long Island Sound, Cos Cob stands out as one of the most charming neighborhoods of Greenwich, praised by the first American impressionists who gathered here in the 19th century, and forever loved by boaters from around the world.

There are no less than 6 marinas located in the safe waters of the Mianus River. The closest to the Cos Cob Harbor is Mianus River Boat & Yacht Club, and up the river you will find Palmer Point Marina, Riverscape Marina, Harbors End Marine Service Ltd, Beacon Point Marine and the Drenckhahn Boat Basin.

Riverside Area

A great location, between the Cos Cob neighborhood and Old Greenwich, Riverside waterfront homes offer great views, private beaches and great locations for deep water docks.

There is also a private beach and a small marina offered by Harbor Point Association. The Riverside Yacht Club also offers marine services, sailing school and great entertainment and sports facilities including tennis courts and a lap pool.

Old Greenwich Area

One of the most beautiful neighborhoods in all of Fairfield County, Old Greenwich has stunning beaches and waterfront properties and it also has its own Downtown area known as Old Greenwich Village.

Greenwich Point Beach and Park, also known as Tod’s Point, is probably the best beach and waterfront park on the entire Gold Coast, offering a large beach, recreational areas and sports fields, as well as breathtaking views of Long Island Sound and views of Manhattan skyline.

Most waterfront homes have their own beaches and private docks as well, but there is also Old Greenwich Yacht Club and Marina right next to Greenwich Point Beach and Park and if you’re not a boater yet, you can enjoy great programs at Tod’s Point Sailing School.

Lakes & Ponds

Greenwich has many lakes, most of them surrounded by woods and beautiful lake homes enjoying the water views year-round and the coolness in the summer. In the north-eastern part of Greenwich you can find stunning lake houses around the largest lakes in Greenwich: Rockwood Lake and Putnam Lake.

If you are looking for a serene lake home retreat in the heart of nature, Greenwich offers many options. Some of them are Converse Lake bordering New York in the North, also Bolling Pond, right near a splendid golf course, or Fyre Lake, near parks and nature’s preserves.

Smaller lakes like Cos Cob Pond and Topping Pond, also offer breathtaking views and beautiful green surroundings.

Other options include large estates with beautiful ponds like the several estates you can find on Lake Avenue and also on Khakum Road, and also on Khakum Road, around a lake formed on the Horseneck Brook.

Yacht Clubs & Marinas

Boating is a prominent part of Greenwich residents’ daily life, sports and also art and entertainment. Forever captured and made famous by the first American impressionists in the 19th century, the love for boating in Greenwich is obvious with or without an artistic eye. Greenwich has one of the biggest boating communities on the Gold Coast, with no less than 12 marinas and yacht clubs. The safe waters of Greenwich Cove and Greenwich Harbor as well as those of the Cos Cob Harbor and Mianus River offer great boat slips and deepwater docks, professional marine services, races and regattas. Many yacht clubs have sailing programs for juniors and most of them also offer great entertainment year-round.
