Some of the best waterfront homes can be found in the Burying Hill / Frost Point area. This is a wooded area, with a great nature preserve nearby, tennis courts and ball fields and also the quiet Burying Hill Beach.

A neighborhood with a great history, Compo is defined by an iconic area that is included in the National Register of Historic Places: Compo - Oenoke Historic District, a 154-acre area developed in the early 1900s as a summer resort beach community. Most homes were built in the Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival or Bungalow architectural style and they have the typical shore and seasonal home design, with wood-shingle walls, and some even still have pier foundations.

You can find some of the best local amenities in the Compo neighborhood: the Compo Beach Waterfront Park where you can enjoy an extensive sandy beach and more, the town-owned Compo Beach (Ned Dimes) Marina and Yacht Club, and on the Longshore peninsula, an 18-hole public golf course and the Longshore Sailing School.

Compo includes spectacular waterfront areas like: the Compo Beach Area, Oenoke Park and Compo-Saugatuck East.
