Growth & Development

The picturesque and thriving town of Stratford is constantly improving and along with infrastructure construction, many new homes are built to welcome new families and people who move here.

Among the newly built communities, there's Lordship Views by the Seawall, located in one of the most coveted waterfront areas, just steps away from Long Beach and numerous local amenities. Lordship Views is a private waterfront community of 9 new townhomes on Washington Parkway, offering amazing water views.

In the northern part of the town, at 170 Oronoque Lane, right near the Oronoque Village condominium complex, a new development proposal is now in the approval process. The developer plans to build a small community of 11 single-family homes, as well as a private road and a cul-de-sac. A similar development was approved in 2013 on the same site, but the developer failed to start the new construction back then.

Another new development on Main Street near Paradise Green Place is seeking approval to build 12 new apartment homes on the site of an 83-year-old office building. The development proposal also envisions 16 parking spaces and 30 other spaces on the nearby property.

Along with the approval of a change in the town's zoning regulations, a local developer proposed the building of 15 new homes on a 56-year-old church on Silver Lane. The project envisions the construction of 10 new single-family detached homes on an undeveloped plot, 4 units within the converted church if approved, and another unit - the refurbished rectory.

A similar development, aiming to convert the old Masonic temple on Main Street into a complex, has been recently approved. The new condominium will comprise 38 new apartments, while the first floor is planned to feature retail space for a coffee shop.

Another complex comprising 160 new apartments at the Center School site, is waiting for approval from the Town Council. The development envisions a main four-story building with underground parking and three townhouse-style buildings, each featuring 2 apartments and parking spaces and several amenities like an outdoor pool, sports fields, a public park with a playground, and a community garden area.
