New Constructions in Sherman, CT

As a rural town, with substantial areas preserved as open space, forestation, recreational and scenic resources as well as farms and historic structures, no major developments were planned in the past few years.

After the 2020 pandemic, the remote work trend seems to have triggered population increases, as many people chose Sherman for its natural beauty and agricultural land. It is expected that this beautiful town will see some new development in the near future.

A new development was proposed in 2021 for senior housing, with 52 new apartment units, and it was rejected by referendum. However, several single-family homes are built every year in Sherman.
