The beautiful Gardens at Summerfield is located right near the Huntington neighborhood of Shelton, in the Howe/Wheeler area. It is set in a heavily wooded, very large park with mature trees, grassy lawns and flowering shrubs throughout.

The complex has 100+  townhouses built in different years, starting from 1989, until 2001. They are contemporary colonial ranches and 2 or 3-level townhouses, offering various floor plans from 1 to 3 bedrooms and  1.5 to 3.5 baths, with a square footage from 1300+ to 3500+ square feet.

Generally there's an open floor concept with a dining area and all homes have a bright living room with a fireplace. Most also have large decks overlooking the beautiful park.

Many models feature a main level master suite or upper bedrooms, and, in some models, both. Some homes have a spacious loft or a lower level transformed into a recreational room or home office.

Renovated and updated, in some cases, to the state-of-the-art level, these homes boast built-ins or walk-in closets, custom cabinetry and gourmet kitchens, and there are also fine  details like high ceiling entrances, bright bedrooms with skylights and many fine finishes.

All homes have 1 or 2 car garages and the amenities include an in-ground saltwater pool with a pool house.

Whether it's a cozy 1300 square feet home, a luxury 3500 square feet ranch or a 3-level townhouse, the home you may choose in the Gardens at Summerfield, will provide comfort, beautiful nature all around and convenience.

The location is a great advantage. Gardens at Summerfield is in close proximity to Shelton Lakes Greenway, a 450+ acre park with 10 miles of hiking trails, a native species garden, a dog park, picnic areas and 3 lakes: Pine Lake, Silent Waters and Hope Lake.

A few minutes walk from home and you're on the longest trail of Shelton Lakes Greenway. You can cross the Constitution Boulevard and reach the beautiful Pine Lake to enjoy the views and to fish, or you can continue your hike about 10 more minutes to find another astonishing place: the Silent Waters Lake, home to many fish species, turtles and bird species like ducks, egrets and herons.

There are several parking spots along the park so you can take your kayak or canoe to Silent Waters. The trail nearby will lead you to a great spot for raspberry picking, and a little further on the Recreational Trail, you will see Hope Lake, mostly popular for fishing trout, bass and sunfish, but also ideal for kayaking/canoeing. The nearby Eklund Garden will certainly amaze you everytime you may hike or bike through its butterfly garden and 3 other garden beds where you can observe and admire about 50 species of perennials, wildflowers, ferns, shrubs and trees, all native to the greater North East and Connecticut.

The Recreational Trail ends at the Shelton Community Center in the Huntington Center Historic District.

At the Community Center you  can enjoy fitness classes, a lap pool, arts & crafts and music lessons custom designed for adults and for children.

There are plenty of other recreational opportunities convenient to Gardens at Summerfield. Some of the great attractions include Webb Mountain Park, about a 10 minutes drive away, and the very best beaches, about a 25 minutes drive from home: Silver Sands or many other  beaches on Milford coastline and Fairfield's famous Jennings Beach.

Many shops and stores are within a few minutes driving distance from the complex and Shelton Square Shopping Center is a 12 minutes drive away.

It is also in the attendance area for many highly-rated schools like Elizabeth Shelton, Perry Hill, Shelton Intermediate and Shelton High, each about a five minutes drive or less from the complex.

With easy access to Merritt Parkway and I-95, a drive to Manhattan is typically 1.5 to 2 hours.

Gardens at Summerfield offers beautiful, spacious homes in an amazing park-like setting, and a privileged location in Shelton.
