Westport, Connecticut is a charming town located in the heart of Fairfield County, and has much to offer it's residents. Besides beaches, fine dining, shopping, a great school system, and theatres, Westport's Compo Beach hosts an annual fireworks display for Indepence Day.
Hundreds of people make their way out to the festivities, and if the cheers and applause at the end of the fireworks show is any measure of enjoyment - no one is disappointed! Some folks even turn this event into an all day thing: sunbathing in the morning, going for a swim in the afternoon, having a picnic dinner during sunset, and then watching the incredible spectacle.
Bring the whole family and you are guaranteed to have a memorable experience - Westport's annual fireworks display is exciting and definitely worth waiting a year for!
The most recent ranking of the nation’s high schools published by U.S. News & World Report distinguished Connecticut with 11 gold medal schools, 24 silver medal schools, and 4 bronze medal schools. Of the top 10 best high schools listed, half were in the 26th district. Weston, Ridgefield, Wilton, Joel Barlow, and Staples High School were recognized.
